Print Competition Judges
These are the Print Competition Judges for Fall of 2010.  | Barbara Yonts, M.Photog., Cr., CPP, has owned and operated a portrait studio for 16 years. Based in her home, she specializes in creating images of children, families and high school seniors. Her passion is photographing on location. Barbara has spoken nationally, and internationally on children's photography and marketing a small business. She has won numerous print awards for her work including Kentucky Professional Photographers Association Photographer of the Year, Kodak Gallery Awards, and Loan Collection Print Awards. |  
|  | Bob Hawkins, M.Photog., MEI, CR, CPP, CEI
a native of the Newton, Iowa area, began in business in 1975 photographing weddings on a part-time basis. On July 5, 1977 he opened Photography by Bob Hawkins in the Newton Mall. The studio existed in the same location, with a name change to Bob Hawkins Studio, Inc., until June 30, 1997 when it was moved to 733 1st Ave. East in Newton. Sari and Bob Hawkins were married in 1979 and work together in the studio where Sari handles all management of production, customer service, business records and keeping track of Bob. He has hung all 4 entries on twenty occasions, received 17 Kodak Gallery, 18 Fuji Masterpiece awards, Iowa Photographer of the Year, Iowa Master of the Year, Iowa Artist of the Year and Iowa Electronic Imager of the Year, the Iowa Medlar Memorial Portrait award three times, The Burrell Cup, The ASP State and Regional Medallion, prints to the PPA Loan Collection, ASP Loan and Walt Disney’s EPCOT Center. Bob is recognized by the Photographic Exhibition Committee as an affiliated juror in Portrait/Wedding/Wedding Album, Commercial, and Electronic Imaging. Bob has judged state and regional affiliates, in Mexico, and around the country including the PPA International Print competition 12 times.

|  | Doran has been a professional photographer for twenty-seven years. He has spent many years developing and perfecting his photographic style to what it is today. He is capable of providing excellent commercial work for his clients as well as fine art works to satisfy his creative hunger.
As a member of Professional Photographers of America, Doran has earned his Master of Photography degree, his Master of Electronic Imaging degree, and his Photographic Craftsman degree which puts him in a very exclusive group of photographers world-wide who have earned all three of these distinguished degrees. Through his membership in the American Society of Photographers, Doran was honored in 2008 as the 98th world wide recipient of his Fellowship degree. Doran also promotes his profession by being involved in organizations such as Professional Photographers of Indiana, Daguerre Club of Indiana, American Society of Photographers and the CameraCraftsmen of America. |

Scalf Sr. M.Photog, Ph.Cr., CPP, API, is a Member of By-laws, Rules and Ethics Committee for PPA, Director for the International Photography Hall of Fame & Museum, Executive Director of Southwest Professional Photographers Association, on the Board of Governors Of American Society of Photographers (ASP), and belongs to Texas Professional Photographers Association, Oklahoma Professional Photographers Association , Metro OKC Professional Photographers Association , Professional Photographers Guild of Houston as well as being the Special Attractions Committee Captain for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. |  
|  | Randy J. Peterson PPA Certified M. Photog., MEI, Cr., F.Ph WPPA started Countryside Photographers in 1973, specializing in high school senior portraits. Randy holds a Master of Photography, Master of Electronic Imaging, and the Photographic Craftsman degrees from Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and a Fellowship degree from Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association (WPPA). He is an active PPA Council member, PPA International Image Juror Talent Director for the Wisconsin Professional Photographers School @ Treehaven and the past president of the American Society of Photographers (ASP). His senior, family, and wedding photography has won many state and national awards. Randy was inducted into the Wisconsin PPA Hall of Fame and is a PPA National Award recipent. In his free time, he enjoys alpine skiing and scuba diving. |  
|  | Rich Newell is a graduate of the Ohio Institute of Photography. He holds both PPA Master of Photography and Craftsman degrees and has earned several State, Region and National Awards. He has served on the PPA Nominating and Print Exhibition Committees as well as his state executive board.
Rich has been a photographer for over 20 years and has been a studio owner for the past 15 year. He has also be a photography instructor at OIPT for more the 12 years. |  
|  | Rick Trummer, M.Photog.,Cr., CPP,F-WPPA, F-SCPA, AF-PPANI is an award winning photographer whose creativity and originality is constantly redefining commercial, portrait and wedding photography. He is also a sought after speaker with his innovative presentations on a wide variety of subjects including digital workflow, color management, commercial, wedding and the business of photography. He has received numerous awards for his photographic talent including numerous "Best of Show" honors from the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association, several "Court of Honor" awards, three prestigious "Kodak Gallery Awards" and twelve "Fuji Masterpiece Awards". In his twenty-five-year career he has received 32 Grand Awards from the South Central Photographers Association and over 300 blue ribbons from the SCPA, WPPA and the Professional Photographers Association. He has received six “Outstanding Service Awards” from the SCPA as well as the “Special Service Award”, the “Meritorious Service Award” and the National Award from the WPPA. In 2002 he was presented with the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the SCPA., the first ever to be presented with this award. He was just presented the National Award from the ASP at this last Imaging Convention. Rick is a two time President of the South Central Photographers Association as well as a Past President of the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association. He has been serving the ASP on the Executive Board of Governors and credited with the creation of the ASP website as well as the committee chairman of the Budget committee. He continues to share his knowledge and professionalism with fellow photographers and students of photography, and continues to strive to better the photographic industry. |
