Print Competition Judges

These are the Print Competition Judges for Fall of 2008.

	Dave Huntsman, M. Photog., Cr., PPA Certified Jury Chair - Dave has received 22 Kodak Gallery Awards and honors for Best of Show in 1990, 1991, 1995, 1996, 2002, 2003, & 2004, 2005. He is the recipient of the "PPA National Award" for service to photography and is a Past President of KPPA. Dave has strong feelings about print competition making photographers better in their daily work. He received the PPA Imaging Excellence Award for 13 or more PPA Loan Collection Prints in 2003. He has also received the PPA Photographer of the Year Gold in 05 and Silver in 06 and 07.
	Don Emmerich, M.Photog., MEI, M. Artist,CR, API, PPA Cerified F-ASP - One of only 40 members of Cameracraftsmen of America, Don has earned all four degrees from the PPA and was recently awarded a fellowship into the ASP. He served as Technical Editor for the Professional Photographer magazine for 16 years and past board member for the PPA. Don has 132 print merits, 39 Loan Prints and 7 Loan Wedding Albums. He is approved by PEC to Judge in all five imaging categories: Art Tech, Photographic Open, Electronic Imaging, Commercial and Wedding/Wedding Album.
	Carl Caylor, M.Photog.,CR PPA Certified - Carl is a Kodak Mentor and part of the speaker team that lectures to other professional photographers around the country about how he creates portraits. He has earned two Kodak Gallery Awards, four Fuji Masterpiece Awards and has 14 Loan prints to his credit. Carl has numerous other state and National awards.
	Richard Avalos, M.Photog., CR. PPA Cerified - Rick has lectured and judged at the regional and national level as well as in Mexico and Spain. His images have been recognized by receiving many Kodak "Gallery Awards" and Fuji "Masterpiece Awards". Rick's service to the photographic industry has been acknowledged by his peers who have awarded him the coveted National Award from the Professional Photographers of Colorado and the Duncan MacNab Service Award from the Rocky Mountain Professional Photographers Association.
	Bob Hawkins, M.Photog., MEI, CR, PPA Certified - Bob received the Imaging Excellence Award in 2005. Bob has received over 350 PPA merits for various efforts including newsletter editor, speaking across the country and has had 100 prints accepted at the PPA International Print Competition. He has hung all 4 entries in 20 of the last 21 years and received 17 Kodak Gallery and 18 Fuji Masterpiece awards. Bob is recognized by the Photographic Exhibition Committee as an affiliated juror in Portrait/Wedding/Wedding Album, Commercial, and Electronic Imaging. Bob has judged state and regional affiliates, Mexico, and around the country and the PPA International Print competition 10 times.
	Janet Boschker has more than 20 years experience in photography and established NorthLight Photography in 1994, the same year she received her PPA Masters degree. She earned the Craftsman in 2002 and became a PPA Affiliate judge in 2006. Having served as president of Professional Photographers of North Carolina in 2003, she is currently Education Advisor for East Coast School. At the 2007 Professional Photographers of North Carolina’s 2007 convention she swept the awards, winning 1st and 2nd place Children, 1st place women, 2nd place groups, both Kodak and Fuji portrait awards and the PPNC 2007 Photographer of the year award.
	Donna Swiecichowski is photographer and owner of Spruce-Air Portrait Design & Gallery in Pulaski, WI. Donna is currently the President of Wisconsin Professional Photographers Assoc.. (WPPA). Donna's studio specializes in capturing true emotion in her clients which main emphasis is high school seniors, children, maternity, family, and relationship portraits.
