Ken and his wife Karen own and operate KZ Studios in their home in Earlville, IL. They are the proud grandparents of three grandsons that live in Dubuque, IA and in Kenosha, WI.

Ken has been a member of APPI since 1989. He has volunteered in this organization for many years in the Trade Show, props, getting speakers to and from the airport, and buying the goody-bags for the vendors. In 2002 Ken joined the board of APPI. He has served the board in this capacity as chairmen of various committees, such as props, membership, publicity, secretary and now as 2nd Vice-President.

Ken also belongs to other photography associations – PPA and PPANI.

Besides Ken’s endeavors with APPI, he is also active in other organizations, such as Lions, Moose, Business Association, and church.

I married in 1984 to my husband, Chris. My first career was a Legal Secretary. Once my son, Nicolas (now 20), came along I quit my job at the law firm and took on my second career (and most demanding and rewarding I might add) a stay-at-home mom. Three and a half years later I had my identical twin girls, Kristin and Danielle (now 16). When my girls were 5 I needed to get out of the house and do something for myself. That thing was a photography class at the local college. I enrolled and things started to snowball from there. My instructor was a member of APPI and he introduced me to the organization and my third career, my first photography job in Chesterfield, MO with a portrait studio photographing families, children and babies. While working there during the week I accepted a position photographing weddings on the weekends. Both those experiences have been an invaluable part of who I am and where I am today. After working for others I decided that it was time to open Portraiture by Leanna. The past 10 plus years have been a wonderful experience for me. I joined APPI shortly after taking that first photography class and I feel privileged to be given the opportunity to serve my fellow photographers. I also feel privileged to have met some wonderful people along the way.

I live in Naperville and have been known as The Picture Man since 1974 doing mainly weddings and bar/bat Mitzvahs. I was named a Certified Professional Photographer in 1986.

Hey there! I'm Jill. I started photographing for a local school contract photographer right out of high school when I was 19. At 20, I photographed my first wedding, starting Jill Bursott Photography in Metamora, IL. At 25, I moved to Bartonville, IL where I renamed my studio Photography by Jill and have stayed to raise my three children Josh, Mallory and Paige.

In 1988 I found my second family-APPI. During our Fall Convention in Peoria in 2001, I met the love of my life George Wakefield in the GW Moulding booth! (Is he a great salesman or what!)

Since then my personal family has grown with a daughter-in-law, Lisa (and grandbaby on the way!) and my second family has grown to include many, many friends across the country!
